Philly Thanksgiving Parade Performance
The Lederach Dance Company (LDC) from Denise Gucwa’s School of Dance (DGSD) in Lederach will perform in the 6abc Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade in Philadelphia. On November 27th, 34 local students will be tapping their feet among the ranks of the “FanTAPulous” dancers in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. This annual performance brings together hundreds of dancers from schools on the East Coast.
For Lederach Dance Company members, this will be their first opportunity to dance in the nation’s oldest Thanksgiving Day parade. “LDC is honored to be participating in this great tradition. The girls are looking forward to meeting new friends who also love to dance and are excited about being on TV,” Denise Gucwa, owner and founder of the Lederach Dance Company.
For the last month, the girls have been busy learning a routine to the song “Happy.” They are also resting up for a bright and early 6:30 a.m. rehearsal on the big day and a fun time with family and friends that they will remember for years to come.
